It is not a part of another set or suit. It is standalone. It can be single or double breasted. Blazer’s are made of stronger and more durable fabric than suits and will usually wear and tear much better.

When you purchase a blazer you want to make sure it fits you well. Here are some things to think about before purchasing anything. The cuff should not touch your hand. The end of the cuff should reach about half an inch before your hand. A blazer is worn to look stylish and hip. If you have weak hands that are prone to being cold, purchase a set of gloves that go well with your blazer. Typically you will wear a long sleeve shirt underneath the blazer. It is perfectly fine for your undershirt to poke out at the hands.

Executive 3-Button Wool Blazer - This is a great jacket made with quality fabric. It's the crisp, shiny kind of wool, not the itchy, fuzzy kind. The three-button design and the sculpted fit suit my frame well. Great blazer for tall guys.

I Bought Two
BGSD Men's Classic Three-Button Cowhide Leather Blazer - Great coat. Cowhide leather blazers are hard to find. There are lamb blazers , but lamb is a gross girly leather. It is also hard to find a decent leather blazer that lacks the tasteless bling factor. This is perfect because it can be worn in many places and is just right. Unfortunately it looks like Luxury Lane will soon discontinue the line so I bought a second one to back up the one I bought a year ago and which gets very heavy use. If you get one go for at least one size larger than you would expect.

Alfani Blazer, Three Button Leather - I love leather and could not resist picking this up from Wilson leather while it was on sale there few weeks back for $150/-.

+ Great leather quality which feels very soft for touch
+ Fitting is awesome for 44R size that I got (usually blazers tend to get large around stomach at this size but this one feels just right and comfy)
+ Lots of pockets inside for cell phones and stuff
+ Inner lining is of very high quality
+ Stitching is again good with no loose threads anywhere
+ Very inexpensive for quality and value
+ Smells like leather (this is important for some people)

- Nuisance: Pockets were sewn too well, while it is always expected for a blazer to have pockets sewn but I have never seen one where pockets were sewn so hard. I had to get a knife to open up the pockets - minor inconvenience
